I love staying busy. I’m the kind of person who likes to have a lot going on and many projects to work on at the same time. I enjoy having a certain level of work stress in my life; the worst thing I can think of is having nothing to do. However, its important to find the right balance of being busy but also not so busy where you aren’t devoting enough of your attention to the projects that need to get done. When you have too many projects on your plate at one time, something just isn’t going to work out.
I’ve been asked recently by a few potential clients about how many projects LooseKeys is working on at once. I’d guess this is being asked because they don’t want their project to just get spit out like we’re a factory, not putting our hearts into it. Which I understand especially because I’ve seen some explainer video companies flaunt that they did 30 videos last month. Come on… 30? Really and they all turned out great? Yeah making stacks of cash sounds awesome, I mean how else will I buy that space yacht? Really though, that’s not the work I want to do. I don’t want to work on video after video that looks the same or looks average just to make a buck. I want to work on projects that I’m proud of creating. Videos that push my skills and challenge me creatively; ones that others enjoy seeing. That’s not going to happen if there are too many projects in the works and each one doesn’t have enough time to get the love and care it needs.
I will admit that I have at times been overwhelmed and had too much happening, but I have to learn what my limit is sometimes.
So to the clients who wonder how many projects LooseKeys has going on, you can be sure that your project will get the amount of time and love it needs in order to be awesome. Its important to us that everyone is happy with every video we create.
