Why Tablets Are Good For My Business

It seems like every big tech player has a tablet on the market or coming to the market. I’m sure it’s a bit overwhelming for most consumers. They could get a Fire, Nook, iPad, a Playbook, Touchpad, Galaxy Tab 2 or even a Microsoft Surface when it comes out. With all these options it means more people are going to purchase a tablet at some point. I still believe that a tablet is a luxury item, we’re not yet at the point where people are getting a tablet instead of a laptop, but it’s getting there. The main purpose for tablets is to consume content; people are watching movies or reading books on them and they are doing it wherever they want. Access to content wherever and whenever is one of the biggest appeals of tablets. Of course you need content for these devices, whether it’s books, games, or videos. Someone needs to be creating this great content, it can’t and won’t all be user generated. That’s where the content creators like myself, LooseKeys and many of my friends come into play. Brands are looking for ways to develop entertaining content for this new group of users. It’s something they can’t ignore because tablet users are consuming more of all types of media than non-tablet users. Companies have to spend more money to have people design, build and create for this new method of content delivery. The more screens for people to look at and consume media from, the more work possibilities there are for animators, writers, designers and programmers.
