I can’t say my Vimeo and YouTube views and subscribers are really that great. I’m always trying to figure out the best way to get more people to watch what I’m making. It’s a constant battle with so much content out there and I know most people are struggling with this same thing. The one thing I’ve learned to get more people watching and clicking follow or subscribe on my channel is just to network with them. 

Just like how you grow your real life network of friends and colleagues; you have to network. It’s good to be part of the community by getting to know people and maybe they’ll become interested in your videos. Not only can you network with fellow video creators by sending messages and commenting on their videos, you can also do this simply by liking and favoring their work. If I see someone liked my video or commented on it I’m very likely to click on their name and see what sort of work they do. Simple actions like this go a long way when you’re starting out and trying to get your videos seen.
