Planning Ahead Vs. Reacting

I try to plan ahead, I really do. I set up goals for the week and the month. But it seems like no matter how well I plan, at some point new situations develop that were unforeseen and I have to react. Whether it’s unexpected changes on a project or an emergency request from another client, its at that point all planning seems to fail me. My goal at that point is not to stress out over what I can’t control and be flexible with what comes up. Since planning ahead has failed, having a plan to react is the better way to work. I know that I’m going to have projects that will create issues and having a plan for how to react makes these challenges a bit more manageable. Learning how to be flexible with what might arise is incredibility valuable.
