Ride Out The Storm
You can’t have your ups without the downs, right? The ups keep you going and moving forward because you know you’re doing something right. Then when everything seems to be going good, a storm rolls in. Maybe it’s a nightmare project, a difficult client or a stressful life event. It seems like one of these storms rolls in every few months and really can throw you off balance. These sort of moments are usually filled with excessive stress, leading to a feeling of being overwhelmed or just utter exhaustion.
Rather than letting the craziness get me down, I’ve learned to push through it and ride out the storm. The hours might be long and it might seem like an eternity to get through but I always try to remind myself that it’s a marathon, not a sprint. Stay calm, bear down and work through it, minute by minute. While hard work and long hours is a part of my daily routine, even I can feel the pressure sometimes and get overwhelmed. It helps to keep in mind that whatever might be causing all the stress is just one more obstacle to get through. Its good to step back and look at the big picture because otherwise the storm will never pass.
